Who can apply to be an educator at The Hair Symposium?

Accepted Answer

The Hair Symposium welcomes applications from licensed cosmetologists, hairstylists, colorists, extension specialists, salon owners, business coaches, and social media educators. You do not need to be brand-sponsored to apply — we actively seek educators who have built their expertise independently. If you have a skill, story, or specialty that can elevate other beauty professionals, we want to hear from you.

Can I apply to teach a hands-on class or is it all stage demos?

The Hair Symposium will have live on-stage demos–a 45 min platform artistry spot .

90 Min lectures are available to educators who want to teach various subjects: technique, business, marketing social media marketing.

This 2026 there are 2 Hands-On Class spots offered to sponsored exhibitors.

Do I need to have brand sponsorship to apply as an educator?

Accepted Answer

No. Brand sponsorship is not a requirement. The Hair Symposium was built specifically to spotlight educators who have built their platform and expertise on their own. Independent stylists, salon owners, and self-made educators are strongly encouraged to apply.

Applications for 2026 are open now. We review on a rolling basis and spots fill quickly — apply early to be considered for the full educator lineup.

Can I apply if I've never presented on stage before?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We welcome first-time stage educators with strong technical skills and a compelling story. If you've been teaching behind the chair, in private classes, or on social media, that experience counts. Tell us your story in the application.

Are educators compensated for presenting at The Hair Symposium?

Accepted Answer

Compensation details are discussed individually with selected educators during the review process. Email thehairsymposium@gmail.com with any questions about educator agreements.

What topics or specialties are you looking for in 2026 educators?

Accepted Answer

We're seeking educators across all things hair — blonding, bronding, color correction, precision cutting, extensions, and textured hair.

We are actively looking for educators in non-technical areas including salon business, financial mastery, social media growth, client consultation, and mindset. If your topic helps a stylist grow behind the chair or in their business, it belongs on our stage.
